Injured Stray Dog Needs Urgent Care

Hi my name is Rachael, and I was unfortunately a witness to a dog being hit by a car, and the car drove off. I spent over an hour looking for the dog as it was dragging itself into the bushes. I finally found the dog and it had sustained minor injuries, but has been a stray for a while. Very thing, skin issues, eye issues, and cigarette burns on her body. All 4 paws had abrasions and were open from being out so long. I got her into the car and put a blanket on her waiting for animal control and she immediately fell asleep. I believe this was the first time she had felt safe in a very long time. The picture of her in the cage is in the back of the animal control control truck. They stated she would most likely need X-rays, medical attention to her feet, eye, skin, possible spay, and treatment to the burns. I am unable to afford any of that at this moment as I just got my other dog back from a hospital stay due to his special needs. I asked what their next steps were and they stated she would be held there for four days and if no one claims her she would likely be euthanized. After all this dog has been through , she does not deserve that. I am asking for donations to her medical care. I want her out of the high kill high stress shelter and I will foster her and if I am unable to find her a home, will keep her myself. This dog is special and deserves a loving family.
