Abandoned Hurt Heeler Needs Help!

Last night (1/31/18) at approximately 10pm we came across a post on Facebook that stated there was an injured dog that had been hit by a car in the road near the intersection of Bethel and Bielss in Weatherford Texas. The poster was able to move the dog from the road but left him there and opted to post on Facebook to tell people he was there instead of picking him up. After getting the exact location we headed out and after some searching we found him collapsed just off the roadway. We rushed him to the only emergency vet in town, and they were able to take a look at the extent of his injuries. With no tags, no chip, and no idea who he belonged to, we went ahead and decided to get him stabilized and to do what we could to help him. He was in some serious shock but let us carry him and never complained. We have learned he has a broken pelvis as well as a fractured jaw and missing/loose front teeth. He is currently receiving treatment at the I-20 Animal Hospital in Hudson Oaks. We had to put down an 80% deposit that totaled $1800 last night to receive  immediate medical attention for him, and have to pay the rest of the bill this evening when we pick him up. Any help would be so greatly appreciated. My boyfriend and I are a young couple with two small dogs of our own, and while we would never hesitate to help an animal this has put us in a serious bind and we need help! We are currently searching for the owners and we are also in contact with rescue organizations trying to figure out what the next step for this guy is. His pelvis should heal with cage rest but his jaw needs to be examined by another vet to figure out what needs to be done. Any donations to go towards this guy's care would be very much appreciated. That is much more than we thought it would be when we created this Fund, but I have decided to not change the goal. I do not want anyone to think I'm trying to profit off of this situation. Monday morning I will be transporting him to Abilene for continued medical treatment, and any extra donations will be going towards his stay there.
