Injured LIRR employee in Jamaica

Meet John Fuentes from B&B.
On 12/7/2017 he was involved in an accident under platform E in Jamaica. A 350 lb pipe came out of its support, knocking John unconscious. He was rushed to Jamaica hospital and quickly sent home with a concussion and bruised ribs. Once home, he got worse. He was rushed back to the hospital and on 12/8 a CT scan and MRI showed internal bleeding and spinal damage. He initially lost some motor functions. Altho some function is back, he must wear a neck brace 24/7 to relieve pressure on his spine and he must use a walker or wheelchair.  A recovery of some level is expected but at best it will be 1 year of doctor's appointments and therapy before he can even think about returning to work. His wife only works part time and takes care of their 3 kids.
John and his family are not used to being on  the receiving end, but I told them this is what our RR family does for our RR family....
