Injured Heather Needs Help Moving

Hello Friends and Community,

I am hyper aware that, given the LA fire devastation, many of us in the community are in economically unprecedented times, so before I begin, I appreciate you taking the time to read about my "lesser" needs.

Last summer, after finally graduating from law school, and being thrilled to start my legal career, I experienced a major setback. I sustained serious injuries in a moving accident.

Since then, I have been in physical therapy 2x a week. I've also poured my own resources into regenerative healing therapies. The healing has been steady but much more slow going than I anticipated. Especially, given the urgency of needing to start my career to pay off my student loans.

At the beginning of March 2025, I have to move out of my living situation. I have not lived in my house since January 8th, 2025 as my room and upstairs filled with smoke that would not dissipate with air purifiers. There are also ongoing mold issues, cockroaches, and termites.

And, for the first time in my life (ugh), I am not able to do any of the packing of boxes by myself. As most of you all know, I have always been a very independent, physically active and capable person. Unfortunately, that is not the case, right now.

Alas, I have humbly started a GoFundMe to raise $500 so that I can hire movers to help me so that I don't reinjure myself. My doctor has said that I absolutely cannot move anything by myself. SIGH.
