Injured Bartender Needs Our Support
Donation protected
Hey all…. I’m a 52 year old bartender at two seasonal jobs. I’m current working at a golf course in Arizona, but money hasn’t been too good this season. Then, two weeks ago I was watching the Vikings vs Rams playoff game at a restaurant in Phoenix and after the game I was walking back to my car and saw a small wad of money laying on the sidewalk, so I picked it up. All of a sudden some guy yells “that’s my money!!”and grabs me by my jacket and threw me backwards. I smashed my head on the pavement and was knocked out for several minutes… I woke up to EMT transporting me to the ER by ambulance where I got a C-Scan, EKG, X-Rays and stitches in my head. After about 6 hours they released me. Besides the huge scar on my head, I am having some major concussion symptoms with dizziness, weakness and nausea. I also injured the C5 vertebrae in my neck which is irritating the nerves running down my shoulders and arms causing severe pain and numbness in my hands. It’s been two weeks and the pain in my arms is not getting better, so I may need to see a specialist. I am definitely out of work for at least a month and who knows how long it will take for this arm pain to stop. I don’t have very good insurance, so I’m sure I’ll be getting a bunch medical bills piling up and I ran out of money already, so it’s gonna be a struggle to pay any bills. I’m hoping the bartenders in this group can maybe donate a little to get me through until I can get back to work. I’ll pay it forward when I’m back on my feet. Much appreciated!
