Recently, Mohamad, a Palestinian refugee living in Lebanon, was invited to tell his Cystic Fibrosis story in an interview with the video program, Hope 2 Others. His life story is inspiring, inspirational and amazing. Take a look!

As I'm with cystic fibrosis I'm considered as an end stage of CF ; here no more medications would help my lungs to get better as my lungs functioning now is 22% so i must undergo for a double lung transplant. Recently my doctor advised us to check if we can do that surgery in FRANCE since he has some connections with specialist doctors and hospitals ,so for now we are working on trying to find a route for that surgery and travel .
And we've noticed that the lung transplant surgery was done in the American University of Beirut (AUB) for 5 times and one of them with for a lady with cystic fibrosis so we've went there and checked the hospital and did the medical tests and i was listed on the waiting list for the DOUBLE LUNG TRANSPLANT SURGERY of AUB . So here it comes the opportunity to live when someone generously donate his lungs .in order to go for this surgery there is previous procedures that starts before 6 months as preparation for it ,so now I'll be under preparation until god send us that chance .hoping this happens here in Lebanon as soon as possible, In which we are still working and preparing for the travel to France to check that surgery if it doesn't works here in Lebanon or we didn't find that suitable lungs.

بما أنني مصاب بالتليف الكيسي ، فإنني أعتبر المرحلة النهائية من التليف الكيسي ؛ هنا لا يوجد المزيد من الأدوية من شأنها أن تساعد رئتي على التحسن لأن رئتي تعمل الآن بنسبة 22٪ لذا يجب أن أجري عملية زرع رئتين. نصحنا طبيبي مؤخرًا بالتحقق مما إذا كان بإمكاننا إجراء هذه الجراحة في فرنسا نظرًا لأنه لديه بعض العلاقات مع الأطباء المتخصصين والمستشفيات ، لذلك نحن نعمل حاليًا على محاولة إيجاد طريق لهذه الجراحة والسفر.
وقد لاحظنا أن عملية زراعة الرئة أجريت في الجامعة الأمريكية في بيروت (AUB) لمدة 5 مرات وكان إحداها مع سيدة مصابة بالتليف الكيسي ، لذلك ذهبنا إلى هناك وفحصنا المستشفى وأجرينا الفحوصات الطبية وقد تم إدراجي في قائمة الانتظار لعملية زراعة الرئة المزدوجة في الجامعة الأمريكية في بيروت. لذا فهنا تأتي الفرصة للعيش عندما يتبرع شخص ما برئتيه بسخاء. من أجل الذهاب لهذه الجراحة ، هناك إجراءات سابقة تبدأ قبل 6 أشهر كتحضير لها ، لذلك الآن سأكون قيد التحضير حتى يرسل لنا الله هذه الفرصة نأمل أن يحدث هذا هنا في لبنان في أقرب وقت ممكن ، حيث ما زلنا نعمل ونستعد للسفر إلى فرنسا للتحقق من تلك الجراحة إذا لم تنجح هنا في لبنان أو لم نجد تلك الرئتين المناسبتين.
