My mother and I have been living in this old weekend lodge for five years and we have slowly converted it into our country home. In this house, a colony of cats has grown, who we've been feeding and sheltering for as long as we have lived here. However, in the past two years, feline sickness, hit-and-runs, and physical attacks from some heartless people outside, have severely affected my financial and emotional health. My first option was seeking help from animal protection groups.

En él ha crecido una colonia gatuna a la cual hemos dado alimento y amparo el tiempo que llevamos aquí pero en los dos últimos años, las enfermedades, atropellos y ataques de algunos desalmados, han hecho mella en mi capacidad financiera y anímica. He tratado de recurrir a las protectoras como primera opción.

Unfortunately, these groups are overwhelmed, and have helped me as much as they feasibly could. The stories they have told me, along with the high number of abandonment and cat deaths in Spain, have led me to create a sanctuary where the cats can spend their days safe and cared for, and have the opportunity to be adopted, sponsored and visited. This sanctuary I plan to create will be named Miaozota, the Cats' Kingdom.

The funds raised will be used to fence the land and create a proper environment for the cats to be safely sheltered, supervised, and have their own space. There will be a laundry room, a kitchen and a nursing room. Ideally, I would also build two to three micro-houses, where the cats would receive guests who can spend a night with them, know them firsthand, and enjoy the environment and its surroundings:

Desgraciadamente están sobresaturadas y las que han podido, me han ayudado. Luego las historias que te cuentan sumando la tasa de abandonos y pérdidas que suceden en España, me han motivado a crear un espacio donde los gatos puedan pasar sus días seguros y atendidos, con la posibilidad de que puedan ser adoptados, apadrinados y visitados creando un recinto al que llamaremos Miaozota, El Reyno de los Gatos.

Es por ello que los fondos que se recauden van a ser para la vallar el terreno y habilitar un espacio adecuado para tener a los gatos en un lugar seguro bajo control con separaciones adecuadas, lavandería, cocina y enfermería. El ideal sería concluir el recinto con dos o tres micro-casas para recibir visitantes que puedan pernoctar, conocer a los gatos de primera mano, disfrutar del lugar y del entorno:
