Sadly. things are much less fun now. Joe is in failing health , often visiting the hospital, and I'm not so spry myself, so I need help around the house to maintain it and take care of him.

We've hired a woman to do this, but the agency charges $40/hour, and so it's costing us $2,560 a month to help me with washing, dishes, laundry etc. and to bathe and groom Joe. It's going to be at least 6 months for a grand total of (gulp) $16,000.

We have been living off our 401K for several years so we literally have no money to spare.
