Tribe! Let's Help Kathy's Recovery

Hey Tribe! 

Many of you will recognize Kathy Karlo,  @inheadlights on Instagram, as the fun-loving, friendly but passionate climber who is constantly pushing herself, which, in turn, pushes each one of us with inspiration to climb beyond our comfort both in life and climbing. There are really only a few women who have developed such a love for the lifestyle and the talent to climb with the style that Kathy does. Her passion to reach out to children in places like the Bronx and inspire thousands of women, girls, and men across the country and world has been noticed by so many people and it is so exciting to see the direction she is encouraging the next generation towards!  

Last week, Kathy, sustained an injury at the crag in Eldorado Canyon called a cuboid fracture.  Unfortunately, it happened at a time of transition in her life which has left her without health insurance to cover the medical expenses that are piling up. The immediate goal is to raise $7,500 to cover the hospital bill and current treatment.  The rest of the funds raised would go  towards covering future expenses of therapy.  

As I was conversating with Kathy, I couldn't help but notice the humility she has at such a time when doing what she loves and lives for will have to be put on hold temporarily.  Especially at the thought of asking for help. So I invite each one of you with a  passion for climbing, who are inpsired by the life Kathy leads, or would be so inclined to extend a financial gift.  I know Kathy will be more than grateful for any amount and cannot thank you enough for your thoughtfulness as you consider ways you could be of any help.
