My daughter and I are raising funds for a trip to Kenya and Uganda this September/October. We will need to raise at least $6,000 for our trip. We plan to visit many of the churches in Kenya and Uganda, conduct four conferences and engage in outreach in villages and in a prison.
As the director of Ingrafted Media and Christ our King, I have spent the past few years working remotely and on location throughout East Africa to provide teaching and training for local pastors and church leaders. We have also been engaged in outreach in hospitals, prisons, a rural villages. I have three coordinators in Kenya and one in Uganda and we plan to expand to Congo and Rwanda soon. God has also opened a door to minister in the prisons of Uganda.
We have seen a tremendous move of God in the last two years, with 106 witch doctors coming to Christ and village after village destroying their shrines and charms and giving their lives to Jesus. Over 2,000 people have been saved and 17 churches have been planted.
Other activities we have engaged in include:
- Discipleship and church planting
- Assistance to orphans and widows for emergency clothes, food, medicine and transport
- Vocational empowerment
- Providing bibles and discipleship curriculum
- Translation of teaching from English to Swahili
- Editing and publishing of books in Rwandan for advocacy of widow's rights
I have set the lofty goal of $23,000.
$6,000 is for this trip, $5,000 for attorney fees to complete paperwork for 501c3 tax exempt non-profit status, $6,000 for next years ministry budget and the remaining $6,000 for a trip to Pakistan next year.
