Infuse Red Trillium Gallery with New Life!
The Red Trillium Gallery is an artist cooperative of 40 energetic and gifted local artists selling high-quality art work at affordable prices. From watercolorists to weavers, and wood burners to book carvers, we bring together artists of the highest caliber.
Red Trillium is a true art oasis east of Portland, Oregon. We are the only gallery in the cities of Gresham (the 7th largest city in Oregon), Wood Village, Damascus, Boring, Corbett and Sandy, Oregon. With great enthusiasm, our artists manage the gallery and make up teams for administration, operations and publicity. Our artists retain 80% or sales, a rate that is higher than other local galleries.
Red Trillium Gallery was the vision of six women, all artists themselves. They founded the LLC and then sanded, painted, assembled and scrubbed the storefront into a jewel box of a gallery.
And on December 6, 2019, we opened our doors. The place was packed. Customers raved. The sales buoyed our hopes.
Then, Covid 19 crushed Oregon.
March through May our beautiful gallery was closed. Before long, one after another, summer and fall art festivals canceled. With few available venues, our artists became more dependent upon their Red Trillium Gallery income.
We have submitted ten grants and have not received funding. Because we are an LLC and staffed with artists rather than employees, we are not eligible for many grants.
In an effort to stay afloat, we have branched out into online sales. Although we have met with some success, it hasn’t been enough to turn the tide.
Your investment in our 40 artists will help pay rent and utilities to give us time to increase sales.
