Valencia Betts battles sarcoidosis

Greetings:

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I wanted to share and ask for your support regarding my illness.

These last few weeks have not been without their challenges. On October 7, 2024, while golfing, I experienced chest pain in what doctors discovered was a heart attack due to sarcoidois.

For those who are unaware, Sarcoidois is an auto-immune disease.

Doctors discovered the top two chambers of my heart was not communicating with the lower two chambers, which caused my heart to beat out of rythem. As a result my heart slow down and consequently stop.

An emergency surgical procedure was done to assist in rectifing the issue.

The surgical procedure consistent of a pacemaker and a defibrillator. Which resulted in a two-week stay in the hospital.

I am now recuperating and rehabilitating at home with the assistance of family and friends.

I am seeking your support in an effort to cover medical expenses and the continuation of treatments.
