Infection took Brian Down, Let’s Pick Him Up
Donation protected
On July 3, while vacationing in OBX, my brother Brian was rushed to the emergency room with what we thought was dehydration. Over the following 36 hours, Brian was diagnosed with an infection and transferred to a larger hospital 3 hours away. Early Tuesday morning, he took a turn for the worse when he developed Sepsis and was in respiratory distress. He was moved to the Intensive Care Unit, intubated, then had emergency surgery. Unfortunately, the doctors had to remove a large portion of his colon on Tuesday, and he has been in ICU ever since. Over the past week, Brian has returned to the Operating Room 2 additional times and is scheduled for surgery again on 7/11, with several more surgeries.
For those that know Brian, he owns a small lawn care business that he operates on his own. He has worked hard to build a successful business, and I would hate to see him suffer financially while he is recovering. While he is a very private person, I feel compelled to help Brian as his medical bills are piling up. His family and friends are working to keep his business running until he can work again.
All donations will be given to Brian to cover his bills.
