infatuation. is a short film about a couple who arrives back at home after a dinner date gone wrong. An argument occurs about what happens at dinner, which then trickles down into another argument and so on which falls completely unrelated to the first one. As the night progresses, the more we find out about Jordan and Gina’s personalities and how they feel about each other, which could lead to some secrets being held. We see how the both of them react to each other throughout dynamic dialogue and how one small mistake can possibly ruin the relationship.

From Writer/Director Josh Whiteaker:
The story for infatuation. came from the idea that I wanted to explore the dynamics of a relationship using dialogue that might seem like it’s on the fringe of a catastrophe. Using a plot that’s sure to rustle and disturb the ongoings of a romantic relationship to the point where it could be on the verge of ending, the story of infatuation. then came to life. Through a dramatic lens, infatuation. will explore the lives of two people romantically involved with each other until it starts to crumble. We would like this film to most definitely be talked about for awhile after its done playing, given the shock and sudden twists that happen throughout the story. Leaving the viewers on edge of what’s to become is the ultimate goal, as it brings the best engagement out of an audience. Throughout the duration of the film, there’s dialogue brought up that will also be interesting to react to, as Jordan starts to be in a deeper state with his pills and Gina who keeps drinking as the night progresses. While dialogue isn’t necessarily the key to this film, it’s the most essential part. Through talking, we learn the ins and outs of the characters, as well as through their expressions and movements. After watching infatuation., we want the audience to speculate as to why certain things happened, we want them to talk about it afterwards, and we want them to believe that the actions are true to the bigger picture of the story.
