Indy Honor Flight // Lydia Doughty

My name is Lydia Doughty and I am  a senior at Columbus East High School. For my senior project, I am raising money for the Indy Honor Flight Network.

Indy Honor Flight is a non-profit organization created solely to honor Indiana's veterans for all their sacrifices. They transport our heroes to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to the senior veterans – World War II survivors, along with those veterans who may be terminally ill.  Of all of the wars in recent memory, it was World War II that truly threatened our very existence as a nation — and as a culturally diverse, free society. The time to express our thanks to these brave men and women is running out.

My goal is to raise $5,000 by March 1, 2017 so that the funds can be used for the April Indy Honor Flight.  Donations are tax deductible (If you would like a receipt, please email me at [email redacted]).

I was raised in a family with a long heritage of military service so honoring our veterans is very important to me. Thank you so much for your support!
