Indy Cares: Basketball for a Cause

Hi everyone!

We are Indy Cares, a student-led group made up of Sai Yedugani, Saharsh Palle, Srichand Vaishnapu, Hanish Dudam, and Manraj Sidhu .

We are coming together through a basketball camp and additional donations to raise money and awareness for people affected by the recent earthquakes and flooding in Venezuela.

Why We’re Supporting Venezuela

On June 24, 2026, two powerful earthquakes struck northern Venezuela, damaging homes and infrastructure and leaving families in need of assistance. As communities continued to recover, heavy rainfall and flooding created additional challenges in parts of the country.

At Indy Cares, we want to do our part to support families and communities affected by these disasters. Through our basketball camp and donations, we hope to bring people together, raise funds, and make a meaningful contribution to disaster relief efforts.

Basketball Camp

All of us have played basketball at Independence High School, and we want to give younger kids the chance to train, compete, and have fun in a positive basketball environment.

What the Camp Includes

Basketball training led by high school basketball players

Shooting competitions and shootouts

Competitive drills and live gameplay

Fun competitions and challenges

Training for all skill levels, including beginners

Additional activities for kids who don't play basketball

Everyone is welcome! Whether your child is an experienced basketball player, just starting out, or doesn't play basketball at all, there will be something for them to enjoy.

Drop-Off & Basketball Courts

Please drop your child off at the back of Brambleton Middle School, next to the kickball field and south of the track, where the basketball courts are located.

One of our camp counselors will be there to help direct your child to the courts.

❤️ You Can Help Even If You Can't Attend

You don't need to have a child attending the camp to support Indy Cares.

Anyone can donate. Every contribution, regardless of size, can help us raise funds and awareness for people affected by the disasters in Venezuela.

100% of the funds will go to UNICEF for Earthquakes in Venezuela and other tragedy's.
