To Our Friends and Extended Family,
We know that many, many people are suffering through this unprecedented time...a crisis that has forced actions and hardships we never could have imagined.
The staff--our family-- who make up Barracuda Lounge,
Elmo Restaurant and Industry Bar represent more than 60 collective years of warmth, service and, yes, fun. Together we have weathered recessions, hurricanes and blackouts and have remained open throughout them all. These individuals, our staff, are the backbone of what we do and many have served you for a decade or more.
However, last week, in the interest of preserving the health and well being of our community, all restaurants and bars were shuttered by the authorities in New York City.
The impact on our staff and their families has been crushing as their rent, insurance, and the simple daily costs of living continue without income.
Countless people have contacted us with stories, sharing past experiences and memories, many ending with "We miss you."
Well, we miss you, too. And we will be back and the fun will continue.
But, for, now we are asking for your help. Please know that every single dollar matters and will be disturbed in-full to our staff to help them through this difficult time.
We are grateful beyonds words for your generosity and compassion...and we will see you very, very soon.
