Indi’s Heart Fund

It was my 38th birthday yesterday ✨

And while I’d usually wish for a sparkly gemstone, a beautiful plant, or something Japanese

this year, there was just one thing on my mind: Indi.

Because last month, she was diagnosed with advanced heart disease.

The vet gave us a rough prognosis,

but as it’s a complex disease, she recommended me to see a veterinary cardiologist to run additional tests, assess whether her heart is responding to treatment, and to fine-tune or adjust her medication.

This would make her time here more comfortable, peaceful, and maybe even longer.

My little furry guardian, baby, and soulmate who has curled next to me for over a decade; through my cancer journey and simultaneous divorce, healing, growth, joy, and everything in between.

She’s the goofiest little monkey and still endlessly full of life, so now it’s my turn to fight for her.

The consultation, tests, and meds cost at least €650,

and I’ve already spent everything I had on the recent tests and emergency meds.

That’s why I’m asking for help.

So this year, instead of birthday gifts,

I’m opening Indi’s Heart Fund; a fundraiser to help give her the care she deserves.

And to thank you, I’ve created some small, heartfelt gifts; little illustrations and poems as a way of giving back.
