Indigo and Aspen

Hi, my name is Indigo

I have a dream... A dream that humans and horses can be together as one, without harsh treatment and with choice to love each other, to connect hearts, minds, and souls.

Since I was seven years old I wanted to live this dream. I have wanted to love, care, and connect with a creature so strong, so wild, so gentle... a horse.

I have been a student at Equine Partners for almost three years. One day I walked up to nervous painted pony who was working through her trauma (that day a bucket) :) As I put my hand on her warm skin I instantly felt a feeling I have only experienced in my dreams. From that day on she was “my pony, Aspen.”

Fast forwarding to today at almost twelve years old, Equine Partners decided that they needed to sell Aspen. My parents, frazzled at the idea of how me watching Aspen load into a trailer and never seeing her again would change my life, They did the “crazy” thing and decided to try to buy her. As I sank into that sensation of her not being in my life I knew I would do everything I could to support them, support me.

Equine Partners, recognizing our union decided they could wait out the complete purchase a couple of months.

I would love to try to raise money to keep Aspen in my life. I am passionate about training these beautiful animals in a humane, trusting, and loving way. The two of us are on the road to being a great pair.

If you can help support my future in learning the ways of true natural horsemanship and having a long life with “my pony, Aspen, ” we would be ever so grateful.

When I first thought of starting this, it didn't sit right, but then as I thought about my love for horses i realized there are many of us “horse crazed beings” that maybe there would be support out there and that one day I would love to support a young girls dreams. I am in the process of creating small thank you gifts to spread “The Love for Horses” to all.
