Hi, my name is Lynx. I am an Indigenous grandmother with three daughters and seven grandchildren, living in remote northern Ontario. I am fundraising to cover essential expenses. I recently lost my income and need support to avoid losing everything I’ve worked hard to rebuild since being homeless in Toronto in 2019. Initially, I was underhoused and then lived in a park. Now, I am facing financial challenges again but have the means to get back on track if given a chance. I need help to avoid selling my tools and equipment, which are crucial for my work.
I sell my art, beadwork, and leatherwork on the street to support myself. Unfortunately, there is no market for my work here, and I need funds for a bus ticket to Toronto, food, rent, and bills stabilization. Despite applying for numerous local and remote jobs suited to my abilities, I have not found any opportunities.
As the Indigenous matriarch of my family, an artist, artisan, and designer, I am determined to make my way. I am a Sixties Scoop survivor who returned to my territory after living in Toronto for over 25 years. I’ve been here for more than four years, and it is a good fit for me.
This is my starter website: [Native Artisan Designs](https://nativeartisandesigns.simdif.com). If you can help in any way, whether through donations or by purchasing my art, it would mean the world to me. Miigwetch to everyone for your support!
