Indie is a beautiful, two year old Alapaha blue blood bulldog. As a puppy she developed a limp, after spending thousands and different referrals, a CT scan showed that she has numerous genetic conditions, that went undetected due to both parents not being health checked prior to breeding. She will require six surgeries to manage/correct this, to give her a pain free quality of life, the alternative was euthanasia. Indie was our first family dog, as well as becoming part of the family, she is my best friend, who has quite literally saved my life, so I've made it my mission to save hers ,but I need your help to continue.
So far, 14 K has been spent on her and only 10 K was covered by insurance. Meaning months of ongoing serious financial struggle.
Indie has only had two out of six major operations so far, in addition to stem cells being injected into her elbows regularly to help manage her chronic pain in her front legs until enough money has been raised to fix them, along with the other surgeries. Currently due to an annual limit of 5K insurance, she is limited to one operation a year, which is prolonging the process.
We are looking for any help towards giving her as normal of a life as possible and more importantly one that is pain free. She is the sweetest, most gentle soul, who deserves the world and I couldn't imagine my life without her. It goes against my very nature to publicly ask for help, however the situation has become desperate.
Love, Dona and Indie
