Hi,
My name is Bernie and I am an Indie Author based in the UK, writing my debut novel, Stillwater.
Indie authors are entirely self-funded, meaning that I foot the bill for everything, from marketing to print costs to attending events and everything in between. Some of the costs involved;
- Artwork for marketing & merchandising
- Printer ink & paper
- Stationery such as envelopes, mailer bags, boxes, book plates
- Professional editing and proof reading services
- ISBN's - very expensive!
- Copyrighting
- Professional formatting
- Typography design services
- Website and mailshot fees
- Event fees, fuel, hotels etc
- Canva subscription fees
- Up front print costs
- Merchandise production costs
I am fundraising for a small portion of those costs to help cover some of the professional editing and production of the books. Anything extra will go towards additional books in the series and supporting the amazing community of human artists that I am working with to bring my characters to life.
