We are raising legal defense funds to contest a series of restrictive and unfair rules imposed by the Indian Mountain Lake Civic Association Board of Directors, which have disproportionately targeted short-term rental (STR) property owners. The Board has repeatedly enacted policies and fees that make it financially burdensome for homeowners to rent out their properties, effectively limiting their ability to utilize their homes as they see fit. These include excessive permitting requirements and recurring fees that are both onerous and unjustified. Additionally, the Board has consistently placed blame for general maintenance issues and community wear and tear on STR owners and their guests, without clear evidence or equitable treatment. Our goal is to challenge these actions legally in order to protect property rights, ensure fair treatment, and uphold the principles of responsible ownership and community living.
If you would like to be part of this effort to stand up for our rights as property owners looking for fair and equitable treatment by the IML Board of Directors, please donate here or reach out to us directly for more information as to where these funds will be directed and accounted for.
