India is facing another grim healthcare crisis from a rapid rise in COVID cases. To address this challenge, the country needs immediate assistance from people like you and me.

The goal of this initiative is to help provide relief to vulnerable communities by strengthening the ability of local humanitarian relief  to provide financial support and medical equipment to the communities that have been affected by this disaster. 

With uncertainty on the rise in the wake of the pandemic and its resulting financial crisis, donations will go towards the COVID-19 efforts in ‘Allahabad- UP’ where humanitarian need has surged. The funds will also go towards the most urgent health needs, providing medical supplies to the underprivileged class. Other contributions will go toward providing food and essential items to low-income communities across India.

The pandemic will have long term consequences for many people – often those already underprivileged/deprived, I know many of you want to get involved and show your support, so I have started this campaign for people to contribute to local volunteer organizations supporting COVID-19 relief efforts in Allahabad. You can help by donating, no matter how small or large the amount.

This money will be sent to other organizations based in India which are providing ventilators and oxygen, such as India Fights, Sewa Canada International Inc, Pink List India, and several others, as well as individual GoFundMe fundraisers and sent to individuals in India who are supporting their communities and raising & giving money, such as Asra Nawaz, an activist from Allahabad. 

I will share frequent updates with you all as to as to how your contributions were used to support the communities in desperate need.
