New COVID cases have soared to 350,000 a Day. We have to act now.
Many hospitals are left without oxygen supplies or available beds during this critical time. We will be working closely with hospitals of India, London and various NHS organisations to help with medical supplies such as oxygen concentrators, medical assistance and free food. We are compelled to take action, and together we will all have a great effect on thousands of lives, whatever our incomes. Support us to continue to be there for people who need our vital help.
With the funds we are aiming to buy as many O2 concentrators as possible at the earliest. The Philips Respironics EverFlo delivers a continuous flow of oxygen of maximum 5L per minute, and is easy to transport and store.
O2 concentrators purify the air in the environment, before supplying it to the patient which helps to prevent health from deteriorating further. For those critical hours between oxygen levels dropping and finally being admitted to the hospital, life depends on the availability of an oxygen concentrator. Oxygen gives extra time to patients for medicines to alleviate symptoms, and so they help to sustain for longer.
We are expecting a batch of O2 concentrators to arrive by the end of next week, which will be ready for shipment through Khalsa Aid registered charity. The concentrators will be distributed from New Delhi via Khalsa Aid, who are in the best position to ensure they reach those who can benefit and for appropriate use.
We sincerely hope that they will provide supplementary value by reducing load on oxygen cylinders that are required for more critical patients in the shortest possible time frame.
With fatalities rapidly rising during this second wave in India, it is a race against time.
Thank you for taking the time out to donate.
