India Ayurveda Village Therapists

We are raising money for members of the amazing staff at the Ayurveda retreat center in Coonoor India. Due to Covid 19 the retreat center has been closed for most of this year and the therapists, chefs, pharmacist, and physician have been completely laid off, most with no other source of income. They are struggling greatly just to make ends meet, feed their families, and stay in their homes.
Those who have attended John de Kadt's and Katie O'Connell's Ayurveda retreats over the past 5 years have come to love the amazing staff of therapists and chefs who have handled each of us with such care, skill, kindness, and compassion, all of whom live in the local nearby villages of Coonor. They have worked tirelessly 6 - 7 days a week, serving everyone with their loving hands, warm hearts, and smiling faces, many for more than a decade in this one location, and now their livelihood is gone. The retreat physician, Dr. Mouli, who has worked and lived at the center for 14 years has also been without revenue for many months, has moved his wife and children back to his father's home, and is reportedly using what little savings he has to help other villagers while also trying to keep his own family afloat. Whether you have traveled to India with Katie and John or not, we welcome your donation to help these deserving people. Every bit makes a difference, and 100 % of the funds raised will go to the therapists, staff, and physician who so desperately need our financial support.
