Bleeding Cowboy: Support Independent Filmmaking!

Hello, and welcome to BLEEDING COWBOY! Founded by Jackson Altenkirch-Moroney in 2024, we are a group of international filmmakers looking to make experimental and high-value independent films!

So far, we've completed three projects as a company, and our next film will be a modern western called, 'Chest Hole'! Using GoFundMe, we are hoping to raise enough money to cover the minor production costs for our biggest film to date!

Our film is about a cowboy struggling to deal with his shame, and therefore keeps an emaciated man locked in a chest. We are ultimately trying to tell a story about generational trauma, and the way that men persistently struggle to understand themselves and to connect with the world around them.

The film will be twenty minutes long, and feature two professional actors (Adam Edgar and Tai Remus-Eliot) alongside a crew of approximately eight people shooting in May of 2025. Jackson Altenkirch-Moroney, the writer and director of 'Chest Hole', has extensive experience as a short film maker and published writer, with 'Chest Hole' being his biggest project yet.

Further contributors include: Archie O. Bigg-Wither, the Director of Photography of the award-winning short film, 'Disco Boy', and William Oliveira, writer and director of upcoming Fringe production 'Time Bends'.

As a group of students, we operate from a minimal budget, and rely on donations in order to make our art. We are fundraising to cover vital equipment renting costs, costumes and location hire, as well as distribution costs after editing. Most of our work is self funded, but in order to achieve our ambitious vision for the film, we need crowdfunding support in order to get our project over the line.
