Independence for Ben

I was born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus and always been a wheelchair user. I’m ok with that! Growing up I’ve strived to be as active, adventurous and as independent as possible. Since developing severe scoliosis and undergoing extensive surgery I have lost nearly all of that independence. Normal day to day tasks, social activities, sports and days out and about have pretty much ceased. I need to be pushed around and have someone with me most of the time. That, I’m not ok with. I am desperate to find that freedom again. To be able to go places confidently and independently. This chair and attachment would allow me to do that and so much more! I would be able for the first time to play with my little brother on the grass outside, to go for walks on my own, without worrying about pot holes, bumps and falls. To go into town, visit family who live close by and even ride across the beach, something I’ve never, ever been able to do. This is a lot of money. I know it’s a big ask but would you be willing to help me turn my situation around and make a dream a reality? Thank you for taking the time to read this. Ben
