Introduction

Since our establishment in 2019, the Ghana Data Science Summit (IndabaX Ghana) has evolved into the country's largest data science event. It has left an indelible mark on the Ghanaian tech community and has been pivotal in fostering greater awareness of data science and machine learning education and application.

Our Impact

Over the past five years, we have orchestrated a series of workshops, keynotes, hackathons, and hands-on training sessions, benefiting over 1,500 Ghanaians, with a noteworthy 60% being students. Moreover, our commitment to nurturing local talent has inspired approximately 50 Ghanaian-specific research works through poster presentations. In addition to imparting knowledge to the community, we have offered invaluable data science career guidance and resume sharing to our IndabaX Ghana sponsors, directly facilitating numerous job placements within our community. Our dedication to empowering the Ghanaian community through data science and machine learning remains unwavering as we march forward. We extend an open invitation to all stakeholders to join hands with us in shaping a prosperous future together.

5th Anniversary

This year marks the auspicious 5th Anniversary of the conference, promising to be the most monumental edition yet! For the first time, it will be hosted outside the capital city of Ghana (Accra) - in Kumasi, in partnership with the Responsible Artificial Intelligence Lab (RAIL) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ashanti Region. The conference will span three days of engaging and enriching sessions, with an expected attendance of 400 participants nationwide, marking the highest participation to date.

• Launching a mentorship program to guide the next generation of data scientists.

• Organizing a 5th-anniversary soiree to celebrate the community's achievements.
