My name is Ope Taylor and I live in Brooklyn, NY. I am hoping to raise enough money to buy an incubator for my sister's clinic in Ibadan, Nigeria.
My older sister, Dr. Foluke Olaniyi-George runs a small clinic called The Family Specialist Hospital, in the Bashorun area of Ibadan.
Today, which happens to be her birthday, a 28 week old baby was brought to her clinic and he needed to be placed in an incubator. This child was rejected by other big name hospitals in Ibadan for lack of space or anyone to handle his case.
Normally, in this part of the world, when a hospital rejects a patient, there is usually no hope, some people have died because there is lack of adequate care.
Hospitals in America treat patient's first and ask for payment later just like my sister does which is highly unusual for a clinic in Nigeria.
2200 people giving just $1 will meet this goal of buying an incubator. Right now, the little guy in the picture is being kept warm with a hot water bottle and being given oxygen amongst other treatments.
Can you give a $1?
Will you please help save the lives of other little babies?
Will you please help The Family Specialist Hospital to keep the focus on saving lives?
Please consider giving and sharing this campaign.
Lives like that of the little guy in the picture depend on it, so please give now and save a life!
Thank you so much!!
