Update May 30 2024

We received a microgrant of $1,500 through a private angel donor in Lowell, MA recognizing our work. This amount has been added through a different platform therefore we have modified our GoFundMe goal to reflect this donation.

Update May 25, 2024

These continue to be trying times for clients and clinicians doing the necessary work of complex trauma healing. The ongoing traumas from multiple genocides, global public health issues, persecution of undocumented persons, and overall systemic/social injustices which compound our individual healing journeys test our stamina, endurance, resilience and tenacity to live our values in trauma informed, responsive, generative ways.

This is the work we have dedicated our lives to over the past generation formalizing it in 2019 as our own formal endeavor, with a vision to provide intersectional trauma aware holistic health care which currently includes our free arts for health & wellness workshop series and services in Spanish, low cost/pay what you can individual therapy and coaching around the world in our global hot spots and subsidized holistic health care for individuals in our Cervitude Circle Community.

Thanks to a $7,500 micro grant from https://parkerfoundationlowell.org/ and our individuals donors to date we are halfway to meeting our 2024 (Q1 &2) fundraising goal of $20,000! We hope to raise the rest of these funds aprox. $10,000 by June 30.

Please consider sharing with your networks, creating a birthday fundraiser, or contributing additional funds if you have them. We are proud to redistribute funds and subsidize the cost of care for individuals in need and are grateful for your belief in our work and support of these endeavors.

Respectfully,
The Cervitude Coalition Team

Update Feb 1, 2024

We are revamping this GOFUND ME to help us cover basic operating costs for the next 2 quarters (first 6 months of 2024) to help us raise $20,000, 65% will help cover payroll for our contractors, and 35% will to general operating expenses.

We "lost" 2 large prospective private donors of $10,000 and $25,000 respectively for this original fundraising campaign due to our political activism in calling for a ceasefire in Gaza in intersectional alignment with our work with displaced persons, migrants and refugees from the US Southern Border to the Mediterranean sea. Our PLLC is also dealing with significant clawbacks from UHC/Optum insurance (which we are appealing) so our current reserves are depleting fast while our revenue share is being held hostage. Our expenses in 2023 included $12,000 in legal expenses in helping to restructure the non profit as a hybrid with our PLLC. And due to ongoing corporate layoffs, the increased psychosocial stressors our clients continue to face the cumulative effects of the need for subsidized care for un and underinsured folx has never been greater. Our clients, clinicians, coaches and healers are an amazing mix of individuals across sectors and statuses who deserve culturally relevant, ongoing mental health care when they need it the most while compensating our clinicians fairly as a small grassroots non-profit at $65 per session !

Throughout all of this we have remained steadfast in our commitment to mutual aid in the intersectional communities we share with COVID aware care and disability justice.

Please considering donating and fundraising through your networks to help our non-profit, where people and purpose come together to increase access for complex trauma healing in creative ways!

In solidarity always and in all ways!

12 sessions are not enough!
$150 per private pay sessions are too much for most to afford!
$30 Low Cost Sessions are a debt trap for clinicians providing care.
We are doing something different...
We help secure long term outpatient services for those who need it while operating as a worker self directed cooperative supporting (never exploiting) clinicians providing the much needed care. We are a pro-union work environment.
Healthcare is a human right and our approach centers collective liberation. When clients and clinicians are taken care of, all of us can thrive beyond just surviving the demands of capitalism. And our entire society benefits.
Since 2019, we have supported individuals living with complex trauma access LONG TERM holistic mental health care. Throughout these early years of the ongoing COVID pandemic, we have worked diligently to provide quality virtual holistic health services and look forward to starting phase II in 2024 with the continued financial investment from our beloved extended community.
Thanks to y/our generous contributions, we continue to support clients who have been with us since our inauguration with the lowest level of anticarceral care for thriving beyond complex trauma.
We continue to build this non-profit from scratch as clinicians for community care practicing radical love in the traditions of our personal and professional ancestors, disrupting the status quo of the non-profit psychiatric industrial complex and weaving dignity into every interaction.
We rely solely on donations from individual donors to support our mission with your tax deductible contributions.
Your financial resources have made a meaningful impact in the lives of our community members and we need your support to increase our reach in phase II!
If you have the means, please donate, like this post and share far and wide!
People not profits!

Story
The Cervitude Coalition Inc. is a nonprofit registered with the state of Massachusetts providing increased access to healing-centered whole-istic care for trauma aware thriving.

We are committed to making sure money is never a barrier to long-term healing from complex trauma. Our mutual aid for liberated healing is our grassroots direct action effort to co-create new infrastructure for accessible care. With most healthcare insurance tied to employment in this country, many remain uninsured or functionally underinsured. We are here to reduce the overall financial burden on any individual who may need multiple types of care for their complex trauma. Out-of-pocket costs add up quickly and we have shouldered this burden since our founding in 2019.

For 4 years, we have co-created accessible healing options through our re/PAIR Action Therapy Fund by distributing mutual aid vouchers for care while providing underrepresented practitioners a living wage. Centering community care and mutual aid, we are proud to have operated solely thanks to grassroots crowdfunding initiatives and individual donations!

We are excited to announce phase 2 of our organizational evolution with the official opening of our community clinic in 2024 in Lowell, Massachusetts which will provide quality mental and holistic health direct care services for people living with complex trauma who are under-insured, marginalized, disenfranchised, and struggling with severe financial hardship.

We are crowdfunding to offset the operational costs phase 2 entails. Your donation will go directly to the operational costs this phase requires to have a solid financial foundation for the clinic opening and our first year operating as a community clinic. We are in the process of being credentialed with multiple insurance panels, continue to apply for competitive grants to increase our financial health and be able to hire additional clinicians interested in working with our worker cooperative while accruing hours towards the Public Service Loan Forgiveness government program.

2024 expenses will include:

2. Medical Billing: $2,000
3. Legal Fees: $13,000
4. Staff Development: $20,000
5. HIPAA-compliant software:$2,000
6. Licensing, Compliance, Malpractice: $3,000
7. Website, IT support, Cybersecurity: $5,000
8. Supplies, equipment, materials: $5,000

We will continue to administer our re/PAIR-Action Therapy Fund and distribute vouchers thanks to the coordinated efforts of our volunteer collaborative arts-based research program which donates 100% of its fundraising through Patreon to direct care.

As fierce advocates for equity in holistic mental health care, we organize and practice collective action for class solidarity in accessing care for complex trauma. #OnlyTogether can we make trauma aware healing more accessible and equitable. Thank you for joining us in this grassroots direct action!
In solidarity always and in all ways,
