Inclusive Paddling for Wellness and Unity

Please help us in our pursuit of the highly symbolic and meaningful dragon's head and tail for our boat.

In ancient China, dragons were believed to be the rulers of rivers, lakes, and seas. Dragons also had supernatural powers, wisdom, strength, and hidden knowledge.

Our club is striving to purchase a head and tail for our boat so that we may continue in the tradition of honoring dragons and what they represent.

502 Dragon Boat Community, Inc. and its members are ambassadors of the international sport of dragon boat racing. We strive to provide education, training, and competition for a medley of paddlers and experience levels. We support our community through education and wellness promotion, and sharing our guiding principles of community, compassion, courtesy, competition, and courage.

Dragon boating welcomes all ages and fitness levels, making it an inclusive way for communities to have fun and promote active living while simultaneously offering training opportunities for regional, national, and international competition.

Dragon boating is a sport noted among paddle sports for its diversity, equity, and inclusion, and has decreased barriers to access that have historically discouraged or prevented marginalized community members and communities of color from participating in other paddle sports recreationally and competitively.

We are fundraising to support our community through education and wellness promotion.
