It’s time for the BIG announcement of Ananda.
Welcome to Ananda ✨ a space dedicated to safety, inclusion & people-centered modalities.
⚡️ Ananda is a space for everyone to show up as is - perfectly imperfect, ready to shed what is no longer theirs to hold. & what I mean by that is - shedding parts of you that were never you.
Let’s unite to create a city where people come first, & everyone has the opportunity to thrive. Let’s invest in the people of Omaha - their well-being & their futures. Ananda is a place for companies/organizations/people to invest directly into that. A space where the marginalized communities of Omaha can go for an exploration of what healing means to them through movement. A space where all access barriers are removed & sponsored by those in the community - free wellness classes, bus passes, etc. A space to be truly seen, heard & held.
We open in April this year, 2025 — & we’d love to find donations to offer free classes to the public!
What does sponsorship mean?
We’re looking to offer several sponsorship packages:
Tier 1: Donation - believing in our mission & support keeping Ananda alive with any monetary value. One time or monthly.
Tier 2: $150 - this covers 1 free class for the community, providing our teachers with fair pay & a studio fee.
Tier 3 (recommended): $250 - this covers 1 free class for the community, teacher/studio fair pay & get a callout on social media.
Tier 4: $500 - two options. 2 free classes for the community OR 1 free class for the community with bus passes provided to those in North & South Omaha. (All access barriers removed.) Both receive social media callouts.
What does Ananda mean? Our name stems from the Anandamaya Kosha. The idea of coming back to the core of who you are as a person, your blissful state. Your ananda(maya kosha). It’s getting to your bliss by recognizing & exploring your shadows & darkness without negativity. & honoring them for the safety & support they offered - but are not a true representation of who you are.
What’s with the snake?
It is meant to symbolize the journey of shedding who you aren’t to rebirth who you are.
Will you be holding public classes?
Yes. Eventually. But for now, we are centering the idea of “free” healing & supporting the marginalized communities & some other communities - LGBTQIA2S+, those suffering from addiction, people with health conditions or impairments, the Black & Brown community, mothers/birthing bodies, veterans, survivors of domestic abuse, system-impacted individuals, college students & more.
Ananda • coming April 2023
