This is our 8-year-old Shih Tzu dog, Ina, named after the fabulous Ina Garten. She is so gentle and loving and wants to meet everyone, especially kids. But the last few months, she hasn't been feeling well.

On July 16th, she got really sick and wasn't acting herself. We took her to the vet, and after many tests, we found out she has Cushing's disease, pancreatitis, and diabetes (she was in diabetic ketoacidosis). So after a day at the vet intensive care, she was transferred to MedVet and spent 6 days in their care.

All of her tests and surgeries went well and she is back at home with us. She seems to be taking to the treatments ok but will require ongoing treatments and diabetes management.

Of course, this time with enhanced vet and hospital care has racked up quite a bill. We can cover it over time, but that's quite a lot, and if anyone feels generous enough to help out, we would be eternally grateful.
