In Tribute to Our Beloved Minerva "Mimi" Rivera
Donation protected
Our precious Minerva "Mimi" Rivera recently passed on Aug. 22 at age 76 in her Northeast El Paso home. Like so many during these times, we are both devastated and relieved that she is free from pain and suffering and is now resting.
Mimi lived for helping others, and selflessly devoted her time and heart to her family and friends. She was never without a welcoming embrace, encouraging words, and a Puerto Rican plate of arroz con gandules y pollo at the ready! Always dancing and forever smiling, Mimi enriched the lives of everyone she came across. And when life's tragedies confronted her, Mimi revealed a strength many of us can only dream of possessing.
Mimi's death came suddenly and left us little to no time to prepare. As you can likely imagine, these times have not been friendly to our family in terms of finances. We would love nothing more than to give Mimi a sensible funeral service, but we cannot do so alone.
Every donation will get us closer to putting Mimi to rest in a peaceful and respectful manner. As you can see, our goal is $8,500, and we hope to raise this amount by Monday, Aug. 29. We apologize for the short notice.
If you would like to pay any respects, visitation will be 5-8 p.m. (rosary at 6 p.m.) Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022, at Sunset Funeral Home, 4631 Hondo Pass Dr. ... Funeral mass will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1 at Sunset Funeral Home. Burial is set for 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson.
We want to thank you deeply for taking the time to read about Mimi and for your thoughts.
