Hello Friends... Friends of friends...

My name is Marita. Today, I ask for your kind hearts to extend any help you can spare for my son's (Tristan) cancer treatments. He resides in the Philippines battling Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer.

He was diagnosed a year ago and underwent colon surgery to remove the tumor that was blocking his colon. He has been undergoing treatments since then. About two months ago, his cancer metastasized and had spread to his liver and lungs. He went through another major surgery to take out the visible tumors in those organs and now going through a series of chemo treatments for the next six months.

Due to the financial demands of such treatment, I am trying to raise funds for my only son's condition. As a mother, I'd do everything possible to help his situation but being retired with a pension just enough for my maintenance medicines and doctors' fees, there's only so much I or our family can do.

We had thankfully received financial help from our selfless relatives and friends but, unfortunately, the bills pile up faster and the funds raised so far is not enough. 

Tristan is currently unemployed and with his illness, it is quite impossible for him to work as he used to. My son's company closed and he has lost his health insurance which makes it more difficult to afford the treatments. 

Thank you for taking time in reading my plea for help. Just like any mother, my wish is for my son to be able to lovingly watch his beautiful 9yr old daughter grow up.
