We are all born into a place that becomes our neighborhood—but if we're lucky, that place becomes something much more. My brothers and I were raised on Rose Street, and just a few blocks away, on Henry Street, lived Tina and her brother Paul. We weren’t just neighbors—we were part of a small, tightly woven community where childhood friendships blossomed into lifelong bonds.

Tina has always been one of those steady, kind-hearted people you could count on without question. And when she met Chuck, I saw two generous, compassionate souls come together to form one incredible force of love and quiet strength.

Over the years, Tina and Chuck have given so much of themselves to others—without hesitation—always showing up with open hearts and helping hands. They've been there in times of celebration and sorrow, including for members of my own extended family. Their compassion has touched so many lives, and now, as we enter this season of gratitude and giving, it’s our turn. It’s time for all of us who have been fortunate enough to know them to come together and support them with the same unwavering love and generosity they’ve so freely offered to others.

Chuck was diagnosed with acute Myeloid Leukemia on Halloween 2024—a diagnosis that changed everything for their family. Since then, their lives have been consumed by doctor visits, spending months in Boston for treatments coupled with the emotional and physical toll of fighting this devastating disease.

This battle has placed them under immense financial and emotional stress. Medical bills, time away from work, and the cost of simply navigating daily life during a health crisis have become overwhelming. Through it all, Tina and Chuck have shown incredible strength, love, and resilience—but now, they need our help.

Tina has humbly asked for assistance during this especially difficult chapter, and I am honored to help her share their story. This fundraiser is intended to alleviate some of the financial burden they’re facing so they can focus on what truly matters: being together and making the most of every moment they have.
