In the Memory of Si Hoang

Hey, everyone. I would like to share some words that Linh wrote about her dad’s passing:

“On September 30th, my dad was admitted to the hospital because of a fatal stroke.

Nobody expected it. It was like any other day. He had texted me and wished me a good trip. He invited my sister and my mom to hang out with him after work to look at cars. We were sending each other pictures and updates in the family group chat.

All it took was ten minutes for everything to change. The next week was filled with meetings with doctors, monitoring his health status, and trying anything possible to help him recover, but there was nothing we could do.

He was a man who devoted his life to the church and to God, and it was his time to join the Lord up in Heaven. On October 8th, my dad passed away.

It still feels like I'm living in a dream; one I desperately wish I could wake up from.“

I love my uncle and his family a lot. Along with that, I know that my uncle had many people who loved him and were a part of his life. I wanted to set this up for Linh and Jenn’s family, as a way to support them during this difficult time. All proceeds will go to the funeral costs. Any help is appreciated, but not expected. Thank you.

St. Anne St. Joseph Hien Church

Notes: My uncle will arrive at the church at 9am, and mass will formally start at 10am. After mass, we will be escorted to the cemetery to bury my uncle.
