In the loving memory of Bulvinder Kumar
In January 2019, Our Dad was diagnosed with lung cancer. He was admitted to Chorley hospital in March where he unfortunately caught a chest infection which would complicate the cancer treatment procedure.
He was then moved to the Royal Preston hospital which we hoped would better accommodate for his condition, however the infection was proving hard to shift even after being on various antibiotics and steroids.
Ultimately, the antibiotics didn't have the impact we would have hoped for and he sadly passed away on the 25th of April 2019. Throughout it all Dad never lost his positivity and still had the determination to fight through the pain despite the many obstacles that he faced. He ensured that everyone around him shared his optimism and remained happy.
It was his decision to leave with dignity and he knew that this was a battle that he was not going to win. Therefore, he left on his own terms to ensure cancer did not defeat him. He was, and still is, an inspiration to us all and we want to show our gratitude and appreciation towards the hospital which made his last month as comfortable as possible.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could kindly donate anything towards the Rosemere Cancer Foundation, so that they can continue their great work with patients that are going through a similar journey as my Dad did.
We love you Dad and will never forget your generosity, kindness, selfless nature and the love you had for all x
