IN THE DARK - A Short Film

Have you ever felt you were being followed as you walked home at night?

Have you ever felt haunted?

Pop music is blasting from the speakers. A sea of strangers are dancing across sticky floors, sweating, bumping, touching. Mia has vanished into a bathroom stall, drunk and shaking.

Her partner, Cam, and friend, Amy, lead her home, but on the dark trek there, she begins to be stalked by an eerie presence. The dark shadow follows her, but it goes unseen to the others. Painful memories begin to eat at Mia, but she forces them down and sinks into denial.

Despite Cam's concerns, Mia begins to go out again with her friend. A drink. A shot. Another drink. Tears wiped away and paranoia pushed back. Until one night, she goes too far, and in the throng of bodies on the dancefloor, these memories grab ahold of her once more. The shadow persisting.

In the morning, Cam is desperate to know what's going on, but Mia retreats once more. She reassures them and the two head to sleep togeher. But when Mia wakes, the house is empty. She goes downstairs. It’s silent. She calls out, but only shadows answer. The figure comes again, but now it's inside, and it envelops her. Mia fights against the presence, and lands a desperate blow. . . but when the shadow dissipates, she sees she has made the biggest mistake of her life.
