"You use a glass mirror to see your face, you use works of art to see your soul" - George Bernard Shaw
If you could enter any painting, which would it be?
Synopsis:
While wandering through an art gallery, enduring a barely tolerable date, Katie, a young, lonely woman with an imaginative mind, is transported into Renoir’s 1881 painting, Luncheon of the Boating Party. Here she meets its lively characters and joins in light-hearted philosophical debate on love, friendship and life. The characters in the painting observe and comment on her reality, just as moments earlier, she was observing them. She must face the question of who she is and what world she wants to live in. These discussions and interactions force her to reassess whether she wishes to return to reality or not.
"In the Company of Friends is all about surrounding yourself with good people and good company. It is about the importance of being around people who compliment the person you want to be." - Shiromani Singh, Director.
