Sadaqah Jariyah for Haji Akbor Khan (Rohid Baksh)

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be with you.
On Friday 19th November 2021, our beloved Father, Haji Akbor Khan (Rohid Baksh), returned to our Lord. We buried him in the Garden of Peace (Five Oaks; AJ/36/14). Our Prophet Muhammed (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When a person dies, all his deeds come to an end except three: sadaqah jariyah (ongoing charity/continuous reward, e.g. a waqf or endowment), beneficial knowledge (which he has left behind), or a righteous child who will pray for him." (Reported by al-Tirmidhi, no 1376).
In memory of him, we will be collecting £10,000 for various causes; some of which are listed below. To honour our father, we wanted to continue to do what he did best: helping the neediest, spending his wealth in the way of Allah such as works towards Masjids (mosques), water-well and so forth. Building a Masjid is an excellent form of Sadaqah Jariyah. Our Prophet Muhammed (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also said, “Whoever builds a house (Masjid) for the pleasure of Allah, whether it be small or large, Allah builds for him a house in Paradise. (Tirmidhi).
Our father has always contributed towards building new Masjids, particularly our local Masjid in Bangladesh. Rather than building a new Masjid from scratch, we wanted to work on this current Masjid, which our father was devoted to. A lot of work is still pending, ideas which he was unable to fulfil, such as: • Boundary walls and fences • Ablution area • Works on the road leading towards the Masjid • Painting Providing water is another good way of offering Sadaqah Jariyah, as you can reap Allah's blessings for as long as the well supplies water. Within that cost, we also want to: • Build 3 x deep water well in three different locations in Bangladesh. Any remaining contributions will: • Provide necessities to our local Madrasa and help support another mosque financially • Pay towards Education for those that are struggling • Support struggling widows financially.
I solely want to raise the amount through my hard work and my bakes. If anyone want to donate on behalf of their loved ones they are more than welcome too xPlease keep my father in your prayers. Xx
