A Letter from Fr. Emmanuel Debra
Gratitude! Gratitude! Gratitude!
All too soon, I am bring my pastoral ministry hear in the U.S. to an end. Come June 3, 2018, I will be leaving U.S to my Country Ghana for good. I would like seize this opportunity to express my profound gratitude and appreciation to you all for your warm welcome, generosity and hospitality. I also appreciate very much those who invited me to breakfast, lunch and dinner. The thoughts and ideas we shared together enabled me learn a great deal of your rich culture, creativity and sense of humor. You proved beyond reasonable doubt, that, you are opened to all and sundry. For this I say God richly bless you.
When I lost my mother, you mourned with me and supported me. Your sympathy and condolences encouraged me to bear the pain with fortitude and maintained my equanimity. Your overwhelming presence during the memorial and thanksgiving Mass for my late mother filled my heart with joy. To those who gave me donations I say, may the almighty God replenish you a hundred fold. May your cup overflow with the blessings from the Most High God.
In fact, your car, concern, sensitivity, hospitality and generosity to me has already filled my heart with nostalgic attachment to you all, as I leave for Ghana for good, I am really going to miss you all a great deal. However, I strongly believe that the cordial relationship we established in God's name will continue to grow from strength to strength as we remember each other in our prayers. May the seeds we sow together as Christ's disciples bear fruit a hundredfold, sixty-fold and thirty-fold. Amen.
As I prepare to leave for my Country Ghana, some of the challenges I am facing now are; acquiring a car to start my new Parish, my airfare expenses and shipping of my books and other belongings to Ghana. This roughly sums up to $11000.
I would be so much grateful of your generous support and any further assistance to build my new Parish in Ghana.
In Christ,
