My husband Rene is currently at Cedars-Sinai, and we just received difficult news—he now needs a heart transplant. Rene was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in 2014, and for over a decade he has faced this with strength and determination. If you know him, you know how kind, hardworking, and dedicated he is. As a self-employed hairdresser, he has always shown up for others—helping people feel confident, cared for, and seen. At this time, he’s unable to work. As two self-employed hairdressers, we don’t have the financial safety net for a situation like this.
We’ve started this GoFundMe to help cover medical and transplant-related expenses, hospital stays, medications, loss of wages, and basic living expenses during this time. Sharing this is not easy, but we truly appreciate any support. If you’re able to donate, we are deeply grateful. If not, sharing this post would mean so much to us. Thank you for your kindness, support, and for keeping Rene in your thoughts.
