Hi, my name is Anneli and I’ve signed up for a charity skydive in support of my uncle Glynn, who is living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). This will take place on 5th August 2026. Watching someone you love face such a cruel and progressive illness is incredibly tough, and I wanted to do something meaningful to help.
MND affects the brain and nerves, gradually taking away a person’s ability to move, speak, and live independently, and eventually to breathe. There is currently no cure, which is why raising awareness and funding is so important. This illness affects thousands of families, and seeing its impact firsthand is truly heartbreaking.
So, I’m taking the leap (literally!) and jumping out of a plane at 15,000 feet to raise money and awareness for this cause, in support of my uncle and others going through the same battle.
Uncle Glynn is working with doctors at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital along with his neurology team for research purposes which will help others in the future. I hope to contribute towards research that could make a real difference for people living with MND and their families.
Every donation towards MND association, no matter how small, will mean so much. If you’re able to donate, share, or even just send a bit of encouragement, I’d be incredibly grateful. This is for someone very special to me.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support ❤️
