UPDATE:
October 26, 2025
On this beautifully bright and crisp fall morning, the Lord called Mike home to heaven. As the morning sun was rising above the horizon, Mike's soul rose to the heavens. We praise God for the hope of eternity with Him!
Please continue to praise God for the supernatural strength He's provided the Kotz family.
Please continue to pray for comfort for Holly and her children: Grace and Gabe.
Please join me in praying a blessing over Holly as she relies on the Lord for wisdom in this new chapter. Holly has walked by faith day after day after day, and I know she will continue this pattern of living. Thank you for your support and prayers; they have blessed her greatly.

With an exhale of grief and an inhale of the blessed assurance of heavenly hope, we share the following update on our brother in Christ, Mike Kotz.
On September 26th, 2025, Mike experienced a stroke in Petoskey, MI, which resulted in the immediate transfer to Flint for medical care. Since then, Mike has experienced additional strokes and medical complications. Mike's wife Holly has been at his bedside in Flint the entire time, praying over and caring for him.
And so it is with an exhale of grief and an inhale of "Christ with me" that we share Mike will be entering into hospice care as of October 17th.
To know Mike is to love Mike. It is easy to see the joy and kindness that encompassed Mike. Upon meeting him, you felt like an instant friend. If you were in need, Mike showed up to generously serve and help. If you needed prayer, Mike knew how to reach his Heavenly Father. Mike had a boisterous laugh and friendships that spanned decades, but most importantly, he knew and loved the LORD. This is a blessed assurance (John 3:16-17).
During this time of hospice care, and in the months that follow, Holly and her family will need an abundance of care. One way to care is to contribute to their GoFundMe. All funds raised will go directly to Holly Kotz to offset their financial needs.
As Christ came to serve and not to be served, let us look to Him as the example of how we can serve and bless the Kotz family (Mark 10:45).
Isaiah 41:10:
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
