On behalf of the family, thank you for all your well wishes, offers for assistance, constant thoughts and prayers, and your unconditional support during this time. It has meant a lot to us knowing how loved Michelle and Henry are and how many lives they've touched. We understand many of you are anxious to help in any way possible, and for that, we are so very grateful.

Michelle has a long road to recovery and your contribution to this fund will greatly assist towards covering medical costs, physical therapy, and all other necessary expenses.

Additionally, all of you have been so patient as we have tried to balance time with her, her privacy, and updating friends/family/colleagues on how she is doing. To help facilitate and streamline information on her recovery, and to prevent miscommunication, we will attempt to use this platform as a place for you to find the latest information we, as her family, and Michelle are comfortable sharing.

As of May 22, 2021:

Shane was with her today. Physical therapy came in and started working on moving her around. They actually made her sit up on the side of her bed. They’re not going to be able to come in and do as much physical therapy with her as they would like, so they’ve asked the family when we’re there to encourage her to move her legs move her arms etc. She can feel everything. She has feeling in her feet and her toes now which is fantastic! We have a very long road ahead. They are saying about 5 more weeks in the hospital, then to a rehabilitation center. It will be 9 months to a year before she is walking normally again. We’re hoping rehab can happen at home.

As of May 20, 2021:

Michelle is no longer in the ICU and was moved to the Critical Care Unit. She is talking and feisty, which is what we all love about her! She is still on soft foods but is understandably tired of applesauce/pudding and ready for all the yummy solids. At this time, she is not ready to see anyone other than family. Thank you all, again, for your patience and support.
