In Support of Malga Yanga's Memorial and Funeral Fund
Spende geschützt
On Wednesday, September 4th, 2024, our beloved brother and son Malga Harun Yanga, was tragically taken from us. Malga is survived by his mother and father, Sarah and Harun. Along with his siblings Tesilia, Phoebe, Mary, Adeeya, Timothy, and his niece Seriyah and many, many others.
Malga excelled immensely at sports, specifically basketball. He truly enjoyed his time playing for the Storm Lake Tornados basketball team and making the crowds go wild. He was a joy to watch and made his parents so proud. Malga went on to be a part of Beyond ball and Top 64 for three summers. He was a role model to the younger generation and in his free time Malga coached basketball in the park and at the school. Malga was loved by many but as life goes, he had his struggles like the rest of us. What happened to Malga was a tragedy to his family and friends, and he did not deserve any of it.
Malga was a light to those around him, from his smile to his laughter, Malga was the glue that kept us all together and will be greatly missed. We are confident that Malga was greeted with open arms by his cousins Naayian Nyiwe, Dean Deng, Laka Girah, and his uncle David Keita Nange.
On behalf of the Yanga family, this GoFundMe has been set up to help raise funds to cover funeral expenses and any other expenses that may arise during this devastating time. We ask that you keep the family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate through this difficult time. Any donations and/ or shares will be greatly appreciated as well as any stories or memories of Malga you would like to share below. Thank you.
"Peace I leave you with; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27 NIV
Visitation has been scheduled for Friday September 20th, 2024 3-8pm and Malga’s funeral service has been scheduled for Saturday September 21st, 2024 11am. Both services are being held at United Methodist Church located at 211 E Third St Storm Lake, IA 50588. We hope you can join us in giving Malga a final send off. Thank you.
