In support of Kali Herter after the loss of her Veteran Dad
Donation protected
Captain Joseph Herter Jr., a U.S. Army veteran, was tragically taken from us on October 30, 2024. The investigation into his death is still ongoing.
Joe loved and embraced life—he was the epitome of optimism and confidence. Joe was the life of every gathering; he radiated joy and exuberance wherever he went. Joe was deeply loved and admired by both his immediate and extended family and his numerous cherished friends. Undoubtedly, Joe's single most enduring and significant love was his beautiful eleven year old daughter, Kali.
Kali shares many of her dad's talents and passions. Like her dad, she is a gifted artist who loves drawing, painting, and sculpting. She also loves the ocean, surfing, and is a natural water baby; she adores all animals, great and small, and will help any animal in need. Kali cherished the moments her dad took her to the video arcade, where they would laugh and play together for hours.
Now, Kali is fatherless, having lost her strong and brave daddy, her guiding light, and her hero. She will never again feel his loving embrace, his protective arms around her, his gentle kisses on her forehead, or hear his comforting voice whispering, "I love you, Monkey."
As Joe was a fit, healthy, and relatively young man, he had no known will or life insurance policy in place. Kali's future is now clouded with uncertainty, in addition to the pain and hurt she must endure daily. We hope this fundraiser will provide Kali with financial aid for the future without her dad's support. All funds will directly benefit Kali as she navigates life without her beloved father.
Thank you, on behalf of Joe and his family, for your support and love; it is greatly appreciated. For those unable to contribute at this time, we would be grateful if you could share this post.
