In Support of Justin Jeffers and Family
Donation protected
On Friday July 10th, our friend Justin Jeffers collapsed at home. He had a previously undiagnosed arrhythmia that caused him to have cardiac arrest. His fiance, Alysse, his son, Jaxson (4), and his soon to be Baby Jeffers Number 2 (due December) were with him.
The prognosis is not positive. His parents, Wendy and Mark, his sister, Catherine and Alysse are by his side. Hoping, praying, begging for a miracle. His brain was deprived of oxygen, his body was under stress. His MRI demonstrated he had undergone anoxic brain injury. He doesn't look like the Justin we all know and love.
Eventually he was taken off sedation, and was unresponsive. Doctors gave some difficult news, that he may never wake. This was unbelievable. He is an invincible man.
As we all try to cope with our own feelings of despair, anger and sadness, we should remember that this man, with his perfectly coiffed hair, impeccable beard and unrelenting friendship, this man needs our support. His family spends every day at the hospital, by his side, telling him all of the moments we want him to be a part of.
Justin, a 33 year old otherwise healthy man, spends his time golfing, hanging out with his friends and family, especially on his front porch, teaching his son how to play sports. He is Costco's biggest consumer. He is a connoisseur of nice cars, new era hats and adventure.
We look to the future with hope. Hope for a change, whether it be small or grand. We hope for one more game of cornhole with Justin. We hope for the San Fransisco 49ers to win the Super Bowl for Justin. We hope for him to hold his son, kiss his girl and turn on rap music... loud.
Together we can support Alysse, Jaxson, Wendy, Mark and Catherine through this difficult time because no matter what happens, Justin would want us to.
We ask that you please respect the privacy of Justin's family during this sensitive time. If you have any questions during this time reach out to Mehwish, Amanda Markuson, Amber Cox, and Devyn or Cody Barnhart.
